Hornepayne is the geographical centre of Ontario.Our community has just
under one thousand residents and is situated in northeastern Ontario.

Surrounded bythe boreal forest, Hornepayne is perfect for the outdoors enthusiasts. Some of the activities that can be found in our area include fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, cross-
country skiing, camping and wildlife watching.

Where We Are 

We are located on highway 631 and are 4.5 hours from Sault Ste Marie and 5 hours
from Thunder Bay. The closest towns to us would be Hearst which is 1.5 hours away,
and White River which is 1 hour away.

Located in town we do have a community hospital, pharmacy, volunteer fire department,
Northern Credit Union, Esso, variety store, Freshmart, Home Hardware, LCO, legion,
public and catholic schools, public high school, MTO office, and post office.
